Caballos - Horses - Edward Telleria

I recently came across new works of art by Dominican painter Edward Telleria who has been living in the United States for the past several years.  His recent work produced outside of the Dominican Republic has been influenced by his observations of US culture - as exemplified by his series on horses.

In the United States, the culture drives people to work many hours, most often with a goal in mind; the goal of earning lots of money, achieving success, etc...  The people are like horses, racing towards their final goal.  I am intrigued by this observation of US culture and enjoy the strong paintings that Mr. Telleria has created during his time living in the United States.  You can see more work by the artist at
